The holiday home, with its official name; St George’s House will be an additional benefit offered by the Trust for new and current beneficiaries. A one week’s respite stay at the holiday home will be available to all current beneficiaries and can be taken anytime (subject to availability).
Nicola Ridgway, Fundraiser / PR at St George’s Police Children Trust said;
“It is hoped the holiday home will prove a useful place for families to come together and escape from the pressures at home; spending some much needed quality time together without the worries of any additional expense.
Nicola Ridgway added:
"The holiday home is situated in a beautiful area of Harrogate, a stone’s throw from the Valley Gardens and is offered on a self-catering basis giving families the flexibility they require. The house can sleep up to 7 people and is fully equipped with kitchen and dining facilities. We are extremely grateful to Next for very kindly donating a considerable amount of the internal furnishings, the house is now most welcoming and we hope it will benefit from a great deal of use from those families in need of our support.
